Plusnet internal traffic

Hi all.

A friend and I are having some problems with Plusnet.

I'm running a web server and FTP server, and he's running an FTP server.

My web server's on a non-standard port, and he's got IP filtering on his
FTP server (ie he only has a few IPs that are allowed to connect).

The strange thing is that he can't see my webserver or FTP server, and I
can'd connect to his FTP server via Plusnet ADSL.

If I connect via Freeserve, I can see both of my servers, and his.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks,

Pete.

It is probably an internal plusnet problem.

Myself and a friend had exactly this problem a month ago or so... It
took a couple of days of bouncing a ticket back and forth but tech
support sorted it in the end.

I vaguely remember a post about this in the PN news hierarchy, IIRC the
problems on all depended on if you were sharing the some home gateway or
not (can't remember which way round it was though).

So your reset and reconnection to the service could have caused you to
connect to different home gateway.

I could quite possibly be imagining it all though...
