I am about to migrate away from BT/Yahoo with their AOL style crap (use must
use this) browser, and would like to know users views on Plusnet.

Thanks

like any ISP they have there bad days/weeks. ATM stability is an issue for
ADSL / dial in attempts for 56kers and the long term issue of billing
errors, but that's suppose to be getting fixed soon.

I have no problems with them.

support,i had serious issues
which they couldnt or wouldnt resolve, every time i phoned their support
monkees i got a different answer
or information contradicting what the other had said and i always seemed to
get the guy who was new on the job as well
their core package is good but my experience of them wasnt great at all
,even when i cancelled they wanted 60 days notice instead of 30 !

What sort of issues were you having ? For the most part, I know they're
cagey about discussion outside their groups, but I know a few users and
apart from problems with one person's debit card not being honoured (a
NetWest, not PlusNet problem) things have been generally fine... most
of them are home users, and ring me first, but one is a small firm I
used to work for and they would create havoc if they were down for a
lengthy period.

>their core package is good but my experience of them wasnt great at all

while I've no intention of disputing your experience, I guess (as for
many ISPs) there are relatively few people with major problems these
days, compared with 3+ (?) years ago when there were many critics.

IMHO, pretty good, I've been with them 3-4 years. Their 24/7 help line
on an 0845 nuber is excellent value. Furthermore, their staff are
mostly clued-up and pleasant.

Phil

P.S. Still waiting for ADSL in my area, but that is not PlusNet's
fault.

You can talk to them, and also they are very active in their discussion
forums. They don't give you the usual bulls*ite that Freeserve and BT do.
The customer service aspect its very important to me as I rely on them for a
60 user network I'm responsible for - which I use Plusnet 2Mbit DSL product
to provide internet access and VPN access.

Go for it.
