Plusnet Enhanced Spam Service!

I started to receive e-mails from Plusnet regarding their enhanced spam
service being activated on my account. I thought little of it thinking i had
receive an email notice per email account, but when i got 90 in 2 days i
rang em up and got told to monitor it.

Then i submitted a support ticket advising them this was SPAM. The response
i got from some snivveling illiterate tech dude telling me that they are my
ISP and that i WILL accept all emails from them, who went on to lecture me
(with bad spelling) about what SPAM is!

It took 1 week from them to act, am really fucked off with them.

Amusing, plusnet are the one who refuse to do anything about
limandco.plus.com even though it must have been chucking out spam and other
shit non-stop since about may.

And their abuse system returns stuff from plusnet-(E-Mail Removed) - an
address which doesn't actually exist in that it fails sender-verify.

Plusnet have always been muppets, look in google for great funny threads
involving their MD being made a fool of.

I'm always bemused why anyone takes service from them, but I'm glad they do
as it's always a source of comedy.

Hi there,

There is no obvious reason for this and I have not heard of any other
reports that this email has been 'SPAMmed' to other customers, however
if you can email me your username I will gladly look into it for you.

I will also investigate your call to us and the level of support you
received. Please accept our apologies if you were not entirely happy
with the support. The Customer Support is something we pride ourselves
on at PlusNet and I am dissapointed to hear you have not received the
level of service we expect our agents to deliver.

>And their abuse system returns stuff from plusnet-(E-Mail Removed)

Our abuse address is (E-Mail Removed).

>I'm always bemused why anyone takes service from them,

I think its fair to say from reading this and other NGs, ADSLguide and
other forums that we are one of the top ISPs in the country. Not only
do we deliver a quality service with many added features but our costs
are increadibly competative as well.

As an ISP that does not advertise and generally only gets an increase
in customer base via word of mouth, if our service is so bad how does
our customer base continue to grow with the majority very happy with
the service? Obviously we are not 100% perfect, but any
mistakes/errors we make we openly admit to and we learn from these.

Kind regards

Luke

I know, and it chucks stuff *back* from an invalid address.

Hi,

Regarding the abuse email address I've raised this internally to the
engineers to look into.

The abuse team will prioritise spam cases (and other cases) depending on
the severity and the number of reports we receive. Any action we take is
also prioritised accordingly. Whilst it would be wrong for me to comment
on this particular customer, I can say that the case has been looked into.

Hi,

Username: krystian

The support tickets remain on my account and now you ceased spamming me,
they are closed. The telephone support was shite! the first call the tech
dude never took my username etc so nothing got logged. The 2nd call was
logged and the tech dude tried to tell me how to grab headers from email,
even though i was reading them out to him as we spoke!

The first tech dude responding to my support request RE: you spamming me,
did not help he told me i WILL receive your emails and lectured me on what
spam is .. maybe after you have put him through NVQ Level 3 in Customer Care
you can send him to college to learn English Literature?

P.S. Luke .. Gomeche has been taken out )

Hi Krystian,

I had a look at your account and in the first instance, the network
team believed this had been resoved. When you received more emails, we
opened a new problem and you have been added to that. That was
resolved on the 19th.

I'm going to be honest and from looking at the repsonses on the
tickets, I can't see anything wrong with the responses you have
received. They clearly stated the situation, were polite and were all
delivered in a good time.

Regarding Gomeche, what do you mean he "has been taken out"? Are you
hiring hit men?

kind regards

Luke

One would hope that you terminated his account as an unwelcome customer.
If necessary you need to change your terms and conditions so that you can
terminate anyones account who has a conviction for harassment at your
discretion. This particular person is a very unpleasant individual.

Gomeche :-) Is that prannet still doing the rounds? The scurge of Usenet
until I arrived. he tried his crap on with me at an ISP I worked for years
ago and we were one of the few who could and did control the gimp.

Remember Me Mr Gomeche. I recall your complaints to the Polis and Directors
of the ISP's was as useful as your psychiatric background reports.

Don't worry about Gomeche he's harmless.
