I'm currently trying to dial up plusnet after they've taken my money
to install ADSL.
It's failing, and I'm unsure if it should work or not, if it's
my getting the settings wrong or the fact that I'm not authorised.

Any ideas?

Ian,

I encountered the same problem last week and one quick call to PlusNet
technical support fixed it - the guy tweaked something at their end.

So far I've been very impressed by my experiences of PlusNet. They seem
an extremely professional bunch.

Yep, must say the same. I'm awaiting my go live ADSL date, but so far
PlusNet have been great. I have even had 3 months of server use, email
accounts, webspace and dialup, and they haven't taken a penny of money
off me (waiting for my exchange to become active).

Same here too. Our exchange has just gone live!

I'd ordered a couple of months ago, and they raised a ticket "Can't
continue", so I phone up, and they set an automated ticket to remind them
to check at 10am yesterday, and they did, and it's all going through.

As far as I can tell, there's a BT Engineer coming next Thursday to handle
the conversion.

Now all I've got to do is find the cash!

Pete.
