Quote from the article,

"According to PlusNet, the acquisition means that Metronet customers will
have access to new services offered by the company."

What, like traffic shaping?

From <http://www.metronet.co.uk/pn-faq>:

"Plusnet employ network management will this happen to us?
Long term the networks will be amalgamated which will bring increased
capacity and a delivery mechanism at the forefront of the ISP market.
This will also see the introduction of the traffic shaping and
prioritisation methods that Plusnet apply to ensure that we can deliver
all applications in a timely and sustainable manner."

I have just saved http://www.metronet.co.uk/
where it says:
No usage caps
No traffic shaping
No speed throttling.

Elsewhere they do say that this cannot be guaranteed always and, anyway, the
T & Cs can be changed to come into effect in your next contract period (1
month away). Wouldn't stop Plusnet anyway.
