You tested it how?
I was running at 1478 via my Draytek 2600, i have since changed it, to
1458, and the speed test at adslguide.org went up a few points.
Coincidental, maybe? But enough for me to be happy with 1458.
There's a way to test the best MTU using PING AIUI, but i can't recall
how seeing as i don't much bother with it these days.
