Plusnet 250Mb naf

I thought instead of hosting my own site on my hosting business, i would
just use my 250Megs on plusnet that came with my account.

Shit was i wrong
.................................................. ............. even
connected via DSL, it takes forever to load! Guess choosing an isp on
quantity was wrong of me .. off back to hosting my own site.

You got it in one, they seem cheap, they seem generous, and you found out
that they can not provide a quality service on such low costs. I fell for
the same thing but with a us based web host and had nothing but trouble ever
since, roll on when my paid up front time is over.

Hi there,

We did have a lot of problems with this earlier this year but we made
some interim changes to our storage systems which greatly improved the
problem and have not had any complaints about this aspect of the service
since. We are also investing in a much, much better storage system later
this year which will mean no problem exists at all.

We are not aiming to be as good as the top end dedicated hosting
providers, but if you site is that slow I am sure that there is another
problem. If you can provide me with a username or raise a ticket then I
will look into the problems.

LOL too true. I have no issue with my internet connection or speeds, just
the website bit. I thought if i closed my account on my hosting business, it
would free up server space to sell to customers. But am back hosting myself
now LOL

Actually nope. That is my sig across all groups and forums. I also posted in
the past to people about other hosts more suited to there needs, and others
have posted saying even though we were not for them (hosting wise), we
helped them find suitable hosts. Not everything in this world is about
financial gain.

Fair enough :-)

I haven't had any problems with PlusNet's web space, though my needs are
very modest at the moment...
