Hi all,

We're setting up a Windows 2003 Server with 2 Broadcom NIC installed.
When we setup team using these 2 interfaces and select Smart Load
Balance and Failover without specifying standby member, the entire
network is throttled until we disable teaming.

After some trial and error, found that there is no problem if we use
Smart Load Balance and Failover, with standby member assigned (just
like an active-standby mode). Since Smart Load Balance and Failover
mode doesn't require switch setup like trunking, we did nothing on the
switch side.

I've no idea about the problem. Would anyone please help?

I'm new to Windows and sorry for the newbie questions. Thanks a lot.

/ST Wong

Hello (E-Mail Removed),

This sounds for me like a problem with the teaming software from broadcom
and not windows?

Best regards

Hi,

I think so, since behaviour of the teaming software doesn't match with
description in manual...
