I have a Linksys Wireless G router. I have one computer connected to this
router via Ethernet connection. I have a second computer that is connected
via wireless. I am trying to set up a file sharing network between the two,
but so far no luck. When I bring up the "My Network Places" and then click
on "View Workgroup Computers" tab, the wireless computer shows the wired
computer, but when I click on the icon, it shows a message that says
"//(computer name) is not accessible blah blah blah. The network path was not
found". When I click on "My Network Places" on the wired computer, it does
not even show the wireless computer being on the network. What do I need to
do to set up these two computers???? Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi

Assuming that you Wireless is working (I.e. you can use it to surf the
Internet)

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,
http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed
to be shared.

Rodney I have the very same problem with the to systems running on XP.
Some of my help from the others can be found under 'File sahring problems'
3/13/06.
I have yet to solve the problem so if you manage to resolve it I would
appreciate if you could inform me of your solution. Thanks and good luck!

I have had a similar problem setting up a workgroup with 2 desktops and
1 laptop all running XP Home. I have found an answer using Help and
Support, by typing in "view workgroup computers" There is one article
in Microsoft Knowledge Base - 318030 - which solved my problem.
Hope this helps.

OOOPPSS Shellgo back, something went wrong. Everything was going great and
now it stopped working. I can see the shared files in my network places but
it won't let me open them! What a tease.

Note, my son also has a laptop that can share, although not on any
workgroup, it stopped working when got online.

More help would be great!!!!
