please help

hello, i am not expert at networking, but I am trying to
do a networking as part of education. 6 PC's are already
on network with 2 printers as local to 2 pc's. All 6 PC's
can use internet and files from main server. All of these
PC's using windows 98.
I want to use few files by keeping in a shared folder and
both printers across the network. I am unable to find what
I have to do?
I only want to share few files and printers only with in
this 6 PC's , not for the outside network?

Thanks for the notes, I am going through it? I just want
to know three things please, do I need to know the
configuration from main network? If yes, what I need to
know? and the second thing is can I do my work regardless
of main server or network configuration, is there any
softwares available to do so? and last thing is Do I need
to make or change my one of 6 PC's to server or not?

If you set up each PC as described in the steps on my site, it should work
just fine.
