Well, if you are still using a "seperate NIC (network hub) to connect the
client pc to the server", then your clients are not going to get an IP
address from the router no matter what you do with the home page. Are you
sure that you know the IP address of the router's home page? If not, try
resetting it and make sure that the server's NIC connected to the router has
a compatible IP.
