Please help [LinksysBEFW11S4 + MaxRad MFB900 Antenna]

Will these two items work together?
Do I need a special LAN card (other than is working properly now?)

I bought this antenna on a whim. I wanted to extend my home network.
I use a notebook pc with a wireless PCMCIA card now. Everything
works, I just would like a longer range. I hooked the antenna up
(replaced one of the factory antennas) and no improvement. Did I miss
something simple, or do these two items just not play well together???

That antenna you bought is for 900MHz networks, the LinkSys is 2.4GHz, so
no, they will not play well together. Hopefully you didn't spend too much
on that antenna.

In addition, when you connect an external antenna to the router you must
disable, through the router's configuration menu, the second attached
antenna.
