Please help with linksys connection

I have indication of good signal strength on my laptop from my linksy
wirless router but I cannot connect unless I am hardwired in to th
internet? Real new at this any suggestion

We'll need a LOT more information. Your operating system, error messages,
tools you've tried and your testing technique, etc.
