I have a Windows 2003 Server that is a DC the only DC, that is serving DNS,
DHCP, WINS, and RRAS. I am getting the error domain is not accessible. You
might not have permission to use this network resource. Also I am getting the
below message when I do a browstat. Only one NIC is enabled.

Status for domain lambertcable on transport
\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{A4E41190-A899-4
56E-80D1-1EDA3BDC2F0C}
Browsing is NOT active on domain. Status : 6118
Master browser name is held by: LAMBERTDC1
Master browser is running build 3790

Status for domain lambertcable on transport
\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{F4267A69-2D54-4
A76-81F0-2F1C2B2D1FC5}
Browsing is NOT active on domain. Status : 6118
Master name cannot be determined from GetAdapterStatus.

It is not recommended to enable RRAS on a DC with DNS/WINS. If you do you
may have some issues. this search result may help,

Name resolution on VPNThat reason is that VPN server is a Virtual Multihomed
Server. The resolution is to disable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP and DNS register on
all interfaces including ...

So should I remove RRAS off the box is there a workaround

As Bob said, running a DC as a router is not recommended because of the
problems with multihomed DCs. If you do not have another server on which you
can run RRAS (which is the best option), have a look at KB292822 which
outlines the problems this causes. This KB refers to remote access (which
also makes the DC multihomed) but the same sorts of problems arise with two
NICs. Basically you need to ensure that the IP of the public NIC cannot be
seen by the machines on the LAN and that the name of the DC does not resolve
to this public NIC IP instead of the IP of the private NIC. This means
disabling Netbios over TCP/IP on the public NIC and also making sure that it
does not register in your local DNS.
