Placing HostAP drivers into Managed mode

I've been using the orinoco drivers for my Linksys card
in Managed mode. I wanted to switch to HostAP drivers so
I can run as an Access Point as needed. I've loaded up the
drivers and issued 'iwconfig wlan0 mode Managed". Iwconfig
shows me the card in Managed mode but it will not connect up
to an AP. If I remove the hostap_cs drivers and load the
orinoco_cs drivers then it will connect. Should I only use
hostap as an Access Point?

Thanks,
Chris
