The problems I had earlier in the week seem to have been resolved now -
i'm still with them on a relatively high priced package for a 1Mbit
service, although i'm keeping my hopes up that they will allow long-time
users to upgrade without a further 12 month contract.

I'd be pissed if they were directing telephone marketing at me
(personally), but they're generally very reliable overall.

I think they are the best. Got 8mb connection with unlimited free
calls to 01 and 02 numbers for £22.99. Been with them for 3 years now
and always found them easy to talk to and very efficient. Only
problems were during this summer when their accounting went haywire
and they didn't collect direct debits for 4 months but sent emails
threatening disconnection for non-payment!

As far as problems go, that's a pretty major one.

Four months without a DD collection?

They didn't leave their ex customers out though.. I got the warning
mails too and had left them long before.

Sure, they had some DD issues due to some system change. It was 3 months in when
they called me and asked if I could pop a cheque in the post.
They never cut me off or anything. Now imagine if that had been plusnet......
Ummm.... cut off, reconection fee, changed to llu,.... ummm.
