They have a poor track record for fixing anything over a weekend.
Lame excuses like the duty engineers mobile not working, which
probably translates to switched off, or the network monitoring
failed to contact the engineer. Quite often it's a case of telling
them something has gone down, that their network monitoring
should have picked up anyway.
Come around 10am on a Monday things start to get sorted.

Graham I have left BY twice now because has you say they where rubbish
bad speeds the works but seems it as been third time lucky for me I
just cannot fault the connection day or night. I don't like having to
pay extortionate rates for calls to support if needed or indeed the
attitude of some members of staff but so long as the actual connection
continues the way it is I am more than happy. On the other hand maybe
it is because I am getting a lot older now and haven't got the same
fire in my guts and can't be bothered fighting them
anymore))))))))))))))))))))))))).

Anything from 2.1 to2.12 Mb sec on rare occasions it drops to just
below 2 been the same since day one which is why I just cant
comprehend or understand why so many people are complaining about VM
services.
>how much are you paying ?

At the moment 27.00 a month but will be droping to the 4 Mb service at
the end of the contract no intention of paying 38 quid only because we
make no proper use of the 20Mb and by which time the 4Mb will probably
be 10 Mb anyway .

Hang on - you think getting 2 Mbps on a service advertised as 20Mbps service is
good value at £27 pcm ?

You're being had !

Graham

Maybe I got it wrong try 2.25MB/sec just checked again Graham I know I
quoted a similar speed to a tech person some time ago and he told me I
was doing better than most .
