Hi,
Im in Wickford in Essex and am having problems with my Pipex broadband
connection in that its been down since Friday.

Pipex tech support said it is due to emergency work at the BT exchange
but 2 days seems a long time to carry out some work.

Anyone else having connection problems in my area.

Regards,
Scott

I've already posted my tale of woe about Pipex. I was finding it just about
unusable every weekend and evening.
But that's ok, you just have to bend over and take it in the backside, and
keep paying them money for the pleasure of it.
Who do you pay your money to ? ...... when there is problems in the
exchange or bad weather or floods or anything that effects the service ....
it's never a fault of Pipex .... just keep paying them ..... phone
technical support ..... It's your fault of course, you haven't done this or
that ....... you need to do this ..... just keep on paying the money and
bend over.
The British public get what they deserve, I dont think there is any other
country in the world that takes crap like we do. Keep quiet and keep
paying the money.

Mick.

Do you know what time the problem started?

Pipex said the work at the exchange started at 15:15 on Friday 12th.

Ive actually never had any probs with Pipex at all and have been really
satisfied with them.

I signed up about one year ago and have never had any connection
problems at all.

I rang again today and they did another line check and it came back so
there was no broadband on the line. Pipex said it looked like the BT
work at the exchange had finished as far as they could see. They asked
me to try my modem rather then my router which is fair enough as its
best to elininate the easy problems first. Id already tried different
phone sockets and filters.

So now they have opened a call to BT.

This posting wasnt meant as a moan to Pipex, I just thought it'd be
nice to know if it was just my connection or a general fault.

All the tech support I spoke to at Pipex were pretty helpful and it was
nice to speak to people who didnt just blame my own
hardware/software/whatever and actually just got on with there job of
placing a call to BT once they realised there was no signal on the
line.

No broadband on the line? Sounds like it may have been ceased then?
Pipex should be able to see if that is the case - if so it could be a
while before service is restored.

Or they may have moved you onto LLU? Again, they should be able to tell you.
