Pipex as an isp

I was looking at using pipex as an isp.
I have checked adsl.org and they seem as good as the rest. Which is the
problem.
Anyone out there tell me what you think of them. I'm a bit fed up reading
all these sites they never really help me make my mind up. You just might
though.
Thank you for your input.

I have been with them about a month.

Found them helpful on the phone and by email

Connection is excellent and nice and quick.

They received my paperwork on the Monday and I was connected on the
Thursday.

So far have no reason to complain.

I've only been with them since this morning, so time will tell. My
connection date was the 10th, so 4 days early is a good start, although
that's probably down to BT. I'm sure they're all much of a muchness really.

Wonder if this will change once people start subscribing in their droves
to Pipex's 1mbit service?

I know at my uni address I will certainly be signing up to Pipex 1mbit!

Paperwork - that is so Pipex. For one of the longest established ISPs, they
still haven't got the hang of "on-line". I had to buy a domain name from
them some time ago. They sent me some paper forms that I had fill in with
the desired domain name, plus second and third choices in case the one I
wanted had been taken. It then took them a month to set the domain up!

Compare with freeparking.co.uk - instant registration and domain available
as soon as the world's DNS servers can see it.

Cheers

Nick

They also have pretty good coverage for binary newsgroups.

Hi,

Used Pipex for about 14 months and saw speeds drop - when I left 2
months ago I was getting 459/235 according to ADSLGuide.

Changed on a free migration offer to ndo (www.ndo.com) similar price and
speeds on the day of migration climbed to 474/243.

Never looked back and their tech support is the bollocks! (although I
never really need it but gave them a few test questions before I
joined!!!)
