Pipex availability

I have looked at various providers and they will all offer me at least
1Mbps. Pipex say I cannot have it. Are they being picky, or are other
providers lying to me?
Is there any solid test to check? BT's test say that I can have upto 2Mbps.

Ask Pipex to place a manual order for 1mbit. If they refuse to, their
loss, go with another provider.

hmm.. depends how far you are from the exchange (as ever)

Pipex are pretty good as ISPs go, its odd if BT say you can get 2Mb that Pipex
say you can't, I wonder what they base this on ? (cos normally they go via BT)

I would suggest speaking to someone at Pipex and asking why you can't get
a line at 1MB.

As ISPs go they are pretty good, you could try posting a adslguide.org as
they have someone watching the pipex posts and they may be able to help
more.
