Pipex 1mbit update

Hi

Good news is bt has tested my line and it has passed! Pipex say Bt are due
to upgrade my line on tuesday the 11th. Any chance this might happen sooner?
I'm impatient you see. I can remeber when I got DSL (all them years ago lol)
the expected live date was 3 days later than when i actually went live.

I upgraded from 512 to 1MB last year... would have gone ahead fine I
suppose, only an administrative error caused some other lucky punter to have
their line upgraded instead of me. Result was a 5 day delay - but once I got
it I haven't looked back at all. Great speeds and reliability.

I do wonder if the lucky user couldn't believe their luck for a few days
when their speed doubled... but then had their fun spolit when someone
pulled the plug and put them back to 512...!

My Pipex upgrade was about 9am on the day they said it would be I'm
afraid :-0

My ADSL router arrived three days before the Pipex's stated live date.
When I plugged it in, the line was already active. BT must have
enabled the line within one or two days of the request.

Took about a week for my PIPEX 1MBps order to go live. Always found that
the tracker web site was accurate
