Hi, all.
What I'm trying to do is get TV going thru my network.
If the TV card is /dev/video0 (I think it is), is there a good way to
make /dev/video0 available over the network?
Here's what I was thinking:
Symlink /dev/video0 to /var/www/html/video0, then write a program on the
client side to take
http://tv.server/video0 and output to a pipe and get
the client-side TV tuner to read that pipe.
Is that a plausible idea, or is there an incredibly simple answer
someone came up with before I wrote this? The major problem with my
solution is that I'm not sure what happens when you try to read a
pipe/device over http. Would ftp be any better?
Comments/suggestions/etc appreciated.
Thanks in advance
