Ping work but not mapping

A computer in the Lan send ping to another an all Ok, but when try to
mapping a message say "the machine has been not found".
Other networking question: in a Lan there is a group of computers that
work with 20.1.1.x IP family, but other group have 192.168.100.x
Can I connect between groups both? Should I use route command?

Hi,

If you can ping between the networks you must already have some type of
router/routing working. Mapping a drive requires NetBIOS name resolution.
You will need to either set up a Wins server (if you have a NT, 2000 or 2003
server) or configure LMHOSTS files.

Thanks. Do you mean Wins server? By the side of the client, how to
configure LMHOSTS?
