Hi all,

I'm seeing some errors on one of my WAN links when I load up the link with a
flood ping. Occasionally I get a series of 'E' response codes and I'm
trying to find out what that means, see below for an example. I've read the
source code and can't find any reference.

..........................................EEEEEEEE EEEEEEEE...................
.........................
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE................................... .......EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...
..................
.......................EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE........... ...........................
...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.............

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Greg.

When using the ping command with the -f switch (flood mode), a dot is
printed foreach ECHO_REQUEST sent out and a backspace is printed foreach
ECHO_REPLY received.

It seems like that for some reason your terminal software is displaying
an 'E' instead of a backspace character.
