There are two separate extensions ( installed by BT ) from main termination
point ( which is covered with a BT face plate)

1) One on Ground floor goes to BT socket - ADSL broadband connection via BT
ADS L splitter vi USB spped touch modem) linked to Laptop

2) Second Connection is Linked to via BT socket /ADSL splitter to 56K Dun
connection on PC

Problem/Symptoms

Screen shakes / mouse moves more rapidly active explorer windows close
Spell check also speeds up !!

But only When ADSL broadband is active on laptop
connected to ISP - PC Modem remains Connected via ADSL filter to 2nd Phone
line extension

Don't get any problems

a) if ADSL modem is disconnected !

OR

be) if I disconnect telephone wiring to 56K PC modem connection !

WHY ?

Don't know, but not being offensive, the phoneline for the DUN modem is
connected to the Phone Jack on the splitter? You didn't expressly say.

What's an MSVP

Is it a Microsoft accreditation?
The only reference I could Google is Microsoft Vendor Program
I suppose Bill awards those to the guys who fix the free coffee and
confectionery machines that abound in his Seattle HQ.
