I have 3 machines on my LAN, with different versions of Windows: ME, 2K-SP4,
XP-SP2.

All three machines can ping each other and transfer files in any direction.
All the networking on the LAN seems perfect.

The ME machine can ping IP addresses on the Internet, but it cannot ping the
corresponding WWW name. Thus, IE and other browsers cannot locate websites.

I tried setting the DNS entries to match my newer machines, but due to the
differences in the dialogs to accomplish this, I cannot be sure I have the
correct entries. I mean, I'm sure the actual IP addresses of the DNS servers
are correct, but I don't know if any other settings need to be modified too.

Of course, as soon as I posted this message, I stumbled upon the correct
combination of settings to make this work. I think that the last thing I
changed was for the DNS Host name to match the computer name.
