As the other reply stated, hard drives do not have IP addresses. Please
elaborate as to "mapped hard drives mounted on server." Either a drive is
local, or it's on the network. So "mapped" and "mounted" don't really make
any sense in this context (you can map a drive letter to a local share, but
that's an uncommon & unlikely occurrence).
If you have mapped *network* drives which have disappeared for all users on
the network, you'll have to be more specific about what kind of drives they
are - NAS box, other server, etc etc etc.
If you have local hard drives on this server which no longer show up, look
in disk management (administrative tools \ computer management) to see where
they are. Check event logs. Check your server's management software, if it
has some (Dell/HP, etc., have their own stuff).
If you describe your server's config, and the problem, with more detail
perhaps someone can help you, or at least direct you to the correct IT
support people to help you - because whomever you're working with now sounds
a little, er, confused.
