I know of an AP about 400 meters from me, I have a 20 dbM card, I cant
detect any signal, would adding an antenna help me?

If so, what would be the best kind, I dont want a narrow beam so I was
considering a sector panel antenna (18 dBi from 3COM as its got like a pie
shaped radiation pattern, I would prefer good power and pickup sensitivity
with not so much of a direciton.

This AP I know exists is behind concrete in theyre server room but its not a
large building and its probably not very high power.

Any ideas? I run an SMC EliteConnect High power all mode all bands card with
the Atheros chipset.

Let's see. You're asking for advice on how to hack into a companies Wireless
network?

Am I missing something?

And who said . was looking to hack into a companies wireless network? He/She

Well, you could *ask* them to turn up the power, or to provide a
relay point or external antenna.

Its probably at max power, being a cheap ass AP

On the subject of relays, is it possible to setup a rogue relay?

Has anyone reported all your post to the Stockholm police or (E-Mail Removed)
yet on how your are trying to gain access to a network that is not yours?
