My neighbour, who's also with Tiscali, had exactly the same problem two
weeks ago.
I tried my spare ADSL 'modem' on his line, but the ADSL light didn't
even light up. My neighbour was busy doing other things and said he
didn't have the time to contact Tiscali about it. Apparently everything
started working again a couple of days later.
Incidentally, he hasn't been LLU'ed.
