Hi
I was wondering if anyone knows if you can buy a phone socket with the adsl
filter built in. I hate the splitters they look terrible especially as some
of my sockets are visible

Thanks

Take a look at the earlier thread, 'What do BT fit......', you should find
your answer there

http://www.clarity.it/ or http://www.adslnation.com/ for the official BT
ones.

Otherwise http://www.solwise.co.uk/ sell some as well.

Most people don't want their ADSL presentation at the master socket.
Master sockets seem to come into the house near the front door. Most
people's computers aren't placed there and most people haven't wired up
their house with Cat 5 cable.

I guess he would like what I would like. I am sure there must be a
market for this!

A) A master faceplate with a built in filter/splitter that does NOT
filter all the extensions

B) Secondary sockets with built in filters/splitter

I would buy 1 of A and 3 of B.

or even

C) Master faceplate with built in filter with/without ADSL socket that
does NOT filter all the extensions

D) Secondary sockets with built in filter without ADSL socket

E) Secondary sockets with built in filter AND ADSL socket

I would buy 1 of A, 2 of B and 1 of C.

C [A] (clarity) and D now exist (solwise) but we are still short of E.

The only way of wiring up without using those awful looking splitters is
therefore to use a combination of C, D and regular sockets, and ensuring
the office has two sockets in it - one regular to take the ADSL cable
directly and one filtered (D) to take the phone.
