I am really sorry we cannot take your order right now. We have reached
the limit of the orders we can accept for delivery on Friday 22nd
October. We expect to begin taking orders again this evening for
delivery on Monday 25th October. ??

Ooops. I'd heard some days ago they were having problems (new computer
system, iirc!) and assumed all was now well; obviously not, sorry. I've
had pretty good service from them - the only problem I've had was a
missing item which arrived within 16 hours of emailed complaint with
full unreserved apology, no quibble. But maybe it's better to admit up
front you can't fulfil on the expected timescale than to take the order
and pretend??

maybe, but that quote is all you can see by following your link - no
information about the goods etc.

I see what you mean. I had looked at the site immediately before my
posting to find the right page to get the URL, so it's happened since
then :-(

I still give credit to them for stating the problem up front! I can't
imagine some other online vendors even contemplating such an admission.
