Phone interference

Perhaps this topic has been discussed at great length in this group but I'm
visiting the newsgroup for the first time in a couple years.

If I have 802.11b/g at home should I avoid using 2.4 GHz phones? I hear
both that there is interference and that there is no problem. Any advice is
greatly appreciated; I'm going to be spending at least $200 on one of those
multi-extension phone systems and they are mostly 2.4 GHz. Otherwise I
would need to get 5.8 GHz.

I'm using he Panasonic Multi-talks and they work fine with my 802.11b
network.

The exact model I'm using is KX-TG2740S with 4 additional handsets.
