Phantom DHCP server

I recently de-commisioned a DHCP server. It was only after I had removed the
DHCP service and shutdown the server that I noticed that the server was still
listed as an authorized DHCP server. The server cannot be unauthorized from
the MMC or from netsh. Searching the group I found a posting that directed
me to ADSI Edit and Configuration\domain name\Services\NetService\ and an
object cn=dhcproot which references the phantom dhcp server. My thought is
to delete this object but, would like to check with the group before I do.

Would deleting this object remove the phantom server without adversely
effecting my network?

Thank you,

Brad

It should be fine. Of course, you'll take a good backup first, though,
right?

Hello bRad,

That's the way to reomve it. Did it myself more often without corrupting
the network.

Thank you both for the replies. Yes, a good backup first.

Thank you,
