It is by-design security behavior. Based on the current status, we can try
one of the following two methods:
1. Enable the Guest account on the member server.
2. Create accounts with the same user names and passwords as those of the
domain accounts.
Since the stand alone machine is a Web server, I recommend that you use the
second method, although it is a bit complicated and you will need to update
the accounts on the member server periodically if the domain accounts are
changed.

|I am having problem to access to a stand alone 2003 server
|from any machine in a 2000 LAN. I need to have access to a
|shared folder on 2003 server. This server is not a part of
|a LAN, (its a WEB server). how can i set the permissions
|so an individual user from the LAN access to that folder,
|i dont want to set "everyone" permission. When I try to
|set permission as domain\username it wont accept that.
