perflib\009 Reg Key

Hi,

The backup softwares running in my servers are giving out errors while doing
a system state backup.Finally I managed find that the backup softwares are
struggling to take backup of the below Registry key,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\perflib\009

I'm also unable to delete this subkey nor set any permissions in it.Even the
ntbackup skips it when it does a system state backup with a error something
like unable to open Registry--> software, some portions of this key might
not have been backed up.

I have been unable to find any documented KBs on this from Microsoft though
few forums in the internet suggests that Microsoft has confirmed this to be
a bug with no solution so far.btw, these errors crop both in Windows 2000
and 2003 boxes.

Can someone assist me here.
