Try unplugging the card, then restart the operating system, then
uncheck the little box in the network configuration screen that
says something like "Let windows control the card.." and hit the
"apply" button, then install the wireless software for the card,
then plug the card back in...
I'm not a windows user but I watched one do this and it solved a
similar problem.
