PDC emulator issue

In my network I have one Windows NT PDC, one BDC and several workstations
Windows XP and Windows 2000.

My PDC had a hardware failure, and now I want to change this machine to a
new one and using W2K Server.

When I plug this new one machine in the network and promote it as PDC
Emulator will I be able to replicate the BDC databese to this W2K server ?

How can I resolve the problem with the server's names (the W2K Server must
have the same name as the old NT PDC) ?

1. Backup data from your PDC.
2. Promote existing BDC to become a new PDC.
3. Take old PDC off line and never connect it again to the same network
4. Install Win NT 4.0 Srv as a BDC on the new hardware.
5. Promote this new_hardware BDC to become PDC.
6. Upgrade Win NT 4.0 to Win 2000, or better still Win Srv 2003.
