PC's computer name was changed about a month ago. Default gateway (on WinXP
Pro SP2) is 10.10.12.1 and the IP address of my PC is 10.10.13.181. I am
having trouble logging in to the network every morning. Is the PC's name
missing from LMHosts or some other service? Thanks.

What kind of network? Is it an AD domain? If so, you may need to reset the
computer account trust. I'm presuming your 10.10.13.181 is a typo and you
mean 10.10.12.181. You might include an ipconfig /all from the workstation
and your DC.

Yes, we use Active Directory. I'd forgotten about trusts. I think everyone
on our floor is on the 10.10.13 subnet. The other PC I use intermittently is
also on this subnet. The server I log on to is on the 12 subnet. I do log
on eventually, but only after about 4 attempts. I will check into the trusts
that are set up. Thanks for your reply.
