Wondered if you had several about the home to use,of different makes,
but all 802.11g is it necessary to load drivers for each?

depends if your OS recognises them, with Windows the inbuilt "wireless
zero" wil handle many cards and you certainly don't need the
manufacturers utility running.

To use them you need two parts, one the drivers, and two the utility, as
said the xp sp2 utility is as good as any other, and should work with all
the cards, the first however are usually unique to the cards.
You might find that cards with the same chipset might work of a generic
driver, i havent found any wireless cards to have XP inbuilt drivers though.
