Pcmcia problems on knoppix

Hi,

I have a Gericom Blockbuster laptop and I've tried to run knoppix from CD on
it.
It always freeze during the initialisation of the pcmcia-controller.
It doesnt care if I have my networkcard (3com Model 3ccfe574BT) in it or
not.

So I tried to load the modules per hand and there was no problem. Then I
started the cardmanager to bind the driver to my networkcard the laptop
stopped working again.
I took my old Notebook (Toshiba 4010CDS) and tried it again and their it
works without any troubles.

So, does anyone habe an idea?
