PCMCIA card 3com 3c3FEM656c stop responding

Hello

I have a problem with PCMCIA card 3com 3c3FEM656c.

After a short time of utilisation it stops responding. Light still lit,
but nothing goes through. I have to do a
cardctl eject 0
unplug it and replug it in order to get back to network. This problem is
not reproductible. It just happen more when I do ftp than then I do ssh.
It can happen after 10s of utilisation or 10h.

I tried 2.6.5 and 2.6.4 kernel; same problem.
Laptop is a compaq armada 7800.

Any idea to fix it up?
