You need a recent version of the Prism54 driver. The PCI version of
Prism54 has been in recent versions of the 2.6 kernels, I am not sure
of the USB version (which is what you need) is in the kernel or if
you need to build the module externally.

Why would I need a usb version? My netgear card is a pcmcia card. I
know a few people have said to use the madwifi driver which is in the
PClinux, but it is a PCI version and I was unsure of whether that would
work. But, I will check out the Prism54 driver since I did not know
about that one.

No, he doesn't.

The madwifi driver is indeed what you need (not the prism54). That PCMCIA
card works perfectly with the madwifi driver (it uses the "Atheros"
chipset). I'm typing this to you now from my laptop using that card and
driver (on Slackware Linux). I have also used it in Mandrake. Works
great.

Sorry I must be suffering from number soup. Too many part numbers.
