that was my point really, while any card will undoubtedly work as a
WLAN card if you want to use fancy encryption I would tend to use the
same manufacturers card for certainty. Do you use it now on the mixed
devices ?
The Belkin I put in recently had lots of encryption options, and the
spec says it supports 128 bit WEP. Equally the Buffalo. I did find
that I needed to update XP to get 128bit working on a Belkin PCMCIA
card.
What I don't know is whether Belkins adapter-side interpretation of
128 bit encryption matches Netgear's router side interpretation, you
only find out by trying or finding someone else doing the same thing.
