PCI Adapter - Code 10 error

I have a new computer - completely reformated with only
Windows 98 SE on it. I am trying to finish
installing/setting up a Linksys Wireless G PCI Adapter. I
followed their instructions along with 10+ calls to them
and those steps too. Everything from trying all the other
slots, to downloading updated drivers, to installing the
card first then the software and vice versa. And still
when I go into the Device Manager the Wireless G is listed
under Network Adapters (as it should be) but has the
yellow exclamation point next to it, and it's status is
Code 10. Has anybody else encountered such problems, and
if so, how did you go about resolving them? Please help!

try disabling the pnp OS option in the bios.
