Hi - I'm hoping that someone can help me with this problem.

I have a PC and MAC connected to BT Home Network 1200 - both can access the
Internet - How can I share files on each computer?

TIA - Dave

if you have osX on the mac and a unix like os on the pc you could
easily use nfs, but with windows and os9.x your options are a bit
limited unless you want to flash the cash, there is some software
called Dave, a google search will be useful in this case, I have never
come across any free software to do this, but that doesnt mean it does
not exist.

Is the Mac of the OSX variety? And the PC is Windoze? If the answer to both
these questions is yes then you can share files. Do the normal stuff with the PC
to allow sharing.

You need to enable the SMB (Server Message Block) facility on the Mac. It is in
the System Preferences (accessed via the Apple logo in the top left). Click
"Sharing" and then enable "Windows File Sharing" from the dialog box that pops up.

There may be more you need to do but that is a good starting point.
