PC as an AP

Hi,

I have a wired network on both floors of my home and a wireless AP on the
first floor of my home. The wireless coverage on the second floor does not
reach to one room that I would like it to. I happen to have an extra
wireless PCI card lying around. I was thinking that there might be a way to
use this card in a PC on the second floor that is wired to the network so as
to extend the range of the wireless LAN. This PC runs XP, I suppose that the
Internet Connection Sharing used with the PCI card configured as ad hoc
might get it done. But I wonder if there is any software available that
might allow me to emulate a wireless AP. Any thoughts or hints would be
appreciated.
