Jim how do you know they can tell how much anyone is downloading
have they shown customers proof that at the time of ALEGED excessive
downloading they where actually committing this crime ?.Personally I
am inclined to think that they are just plucking account numbers out
of a hat and cutting that accounts speed, never ever trust
virginmedia.

One ADSL ISP implemented such a scheme a little while ago now can't
think of the name and because customers where not going stupid and
downloading like crazy the ISP went out of business I think. Now you
would not like VM implement such a scheme and go out of business
because they where now prevented from ripping customers of would you
