The internet access at the library where I often go does Not support
SSL.
(Web pages whose URL start with http:// can be accessed, Not those
whose URL start with https:// )

To sign in to a Google or Gmail account, passwords are necessarily
transmitted through a https:// web page (even if the password is
actually entered in a http:// page). The consequence is that you cannot
log in directly to a Gmail account from this library.

It is however possible to sign in Gmail using a web proxy like for
example kproxy.com, anonycat.com or cgi-proxy.net.

Hence my questions: how much are the passwords exposed by logging in
Gmail through a web proxy?
Is it technically easy (or possible) for the web proxy admin to get the
password?

Thanks if somebody has expertise on this

Obviously they are not crypted between the the computer I use in the
library and the proxy. But how about storage and treatment in the proxy?
