in order to get my updates for my wireless router i need
my password and i cant remember it

THat is the password you set for the Router. The default is "admin"
(without the quotes). If that doesn't work you will have to do a
factory reset on the router and use the password of admin to install the
updates. Then you may have to reconfigure the router for your Internet
connection.
