I have a wireless home network set up with a desktop
computer running Windows 2000 and a laptop running Windows
98. I can see and connect to the laptop from the
desktop. I can see the desktop from the laptop. When I
try to access the desktop computer (2000) from the laptop
(98) I get a "enter network password" message that says I
must supply a password to make this connection.

Resource: \\DENNIS\IPC$

No matter what password I try it says the password is
incorrect. What do I need to do?

Probably share files and folders on the Windows 2000 machine. Take a look
in Help on Win2K for the methods to do so.

way around the password problem

password on the windows 2000 machine that matches a username and password on
the 98 machine.
